Oops. It has been more than a month since I posted something. I just came back from Beijing and Hong Kong almost two weeks ago and I'm still adjusting the time difference. Plus, I'm just lazy :) I'm planning to have a separate post about my trip so please look forward to it! :)
Anyways, today is mother's day and this is the card I made for my momma (see below).
This long weekend was eventful! Despite having a major report due on Sunday (don't ask why), I still enjoyed the Easter break. It was nice to finally see some sunshine in Vancouver!
This card is quite special because bubble tea has became a weekly routine for BN, A, and me. Bubble tea is a popular type of drink that consist of chewy balls made out of tapioca. In short, it's delicious! :) I had quite a laugh while making this card! I used plastic wrap to make the card look like the cups that the restaurants serve.
Bubble Tea from S-Tea :D
Tool and supplies used:
♥ Card stock paper in light blue, orange, and yellow
♥ Black marker
♥ Glitter glue in Diamond by Tulip
♥ "Just For You" wooden stamp by Studio G
♥ 1/2" Round Corner squeeze punch by Fiskars
♥ 2" Circle Lever Punch by Recollections
♥ Clear, plastic wrap
On the side note, A and I discovered a NEW Michaels Arts and Crafts location while shopping for BN's birthday gift. This COMING SOON store is located between Alberni Street and Burrard Street. It looks like its going to be above a retail store, Brooks Brothers. I'm not sure when it will open, but all I can say is that this new location is a lot closer and easier to commute to. Dangerous for my wallet!
Opening Soon: Michaels Arts and Crafts store in Downtown Vancouver, BC
Here's a very first bridal shower card that I made for the bride-to-be! I had an idea of which tools and materials to use (pearls and lace, of course), but in the end, I kept it very simple.

The previous lace card that I made for my mom is pretty and I wanted make something similar. This time, I added some ruffles at the bottom. The ruffles turned out better than I thought since the layers create a nice effect. I will definitely do this again! To finish the card, I added a lace border, minty green pearls, and a sheer bow. Ta da!
Happy Birthday, CC!
CC said she loves her card so much that she wants to wear the pearls as earrings. Hilarious! :)
Family and I celebrated my momma's birthday on Monday. I made two cards for my mom this year! The first one is a random drawing of the family wearing some kind of party hat? haha Don't ask, I drew this around 3:30am :P
Good Morning, Happy Birthday!
This is her second card (see below). I love everything about this card! The deep purple, lace, pearls, and lime green embellishment match well together. Most importantly, my mom loves it too!
